Jason Voorhees killer from Friday the 13th

On the funny Side of the Manhattan street with Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th

When you’re playing Nickleback in Manhattan

You can watch a very humourous moment and other weird and wonderful happenings across the entire Friday the 13th movie series, as Chad leads you by the hand in a study of one of the most iconic killers in horror movie history. Just click on the video!

You’d think that there wouldn’t be a lot of funny in a film series about a relentless mass killer like Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th movies. After all, he’s dispatched over 200 people, mostly randy teenagers who were about to have sex, were having sex, or just had sex.

But there’s a particularly humourous scene I want to point out from the 12 Friday the 13th movies… from the 8th entry – Jason Takes Manhattan. By this time, the producers had abondoned all pretense to making serious horror movies and things had taken a turn to the silly. So, from the perspective of the viewer, most of the humour started to come from the ridiculous situations Jason found himself in. But this scene from Jason Takes Manhattan is genuinely funny, and not in an ironic way.

Jason is chasing his quarry through Times Square in New York, and comes across a group of ballsy street toughs who dare to give him a hard time. Indeed, you have to have balls made of U.S. Steel to feel the urge to pull a butterfly knife on a towering madman who looks like he just crawled out of the sea (which, he did). Feel lucky, punks?
